Is eating brown rice with eggs and nothing else for the day a good way to lose weight?


Just one big bowl.

    Better to include fruits and veggies as well. As long as you eat to a calorie deficit (consume fewer calories than your body uses) fat loss should occur. Ideally your diet would be a healthy balance of protein, fruits/veggies, complex carbs, healthy fats, and plenty of water. 


    The calculator below will give you an idea of how many calories you should consume daily for fat loss or weight maintenance. One bowl of anything is not likely to have enough calories (unless it's a HUGE bowl) and almost certainly not all the nutrients one needs.

    How much brown rice with eggs?  A couple small portions could help you lose weight.  Three plates full four times a day would not.
