is yahoo mail now part of at&t?

    No. Yahoo is owned by Verizon and run by Verizon Media. AT&T offered email via Yahoo, but never owned any part of Yahoo. There are still active AT&T email addresses that were part of that partnership.

    No. Yahoo Mail is owned by AT&T's competitor Verizon.

    AT&T attempted to buy Yahoo! Mail.

    The deal fell through, Verison ended up taking it.

    There is a strong connection with AT&T,  from the attempt to  buy it.

    My account is AT&T and connected poorly with Yahoo! Log-In.

    No, AT&T is a completely unrelated company. Yahoo is owned by Verizon.
