How and when will liberals fix the homeless problem in California ?
- ?Lv 42 months ago
I suppose that's better than the usual conservative antics of blocking and obstructing any constructive action.
Sadly like Australia, it is State issue, not federal.

The leftists created the problem by abolishing the USA's mental hospital system in the 1990s. Why would you think they would want to "fix" it?

when the conservatives help too--this isnt just a "liberal" problem, its a SOCIETY one, And its complicated. Lots of NIMBYs who dont want low income/free housing anywhere near them, and believe it or not, many of these "urban campers" want to stay right where they are. I think we should make some "urban campgrounds" with facilities like showers, toilets and perhaps a communial cooking facility and let them make their communities there-safer and cleaner.
The problem is less that the state is run by liberals and more than those in charge just happen to be corrupt AF. We the taxpayers of California have voted repeatedly to tax ourselves to the billions and almost all of that money gets wasted on termed out political crony "consultants" who all take home six figures a year and on sweetheart deals for developers who get to build massive luxury condo buildings with the never fulfilled promise that they're include a few "low income" units. The man with the answers, Rev. Andy Bales who runs the Midnight Mission and has had great success, isn't allowed to participate because his program involves religion.

California government has no plans to fix the problem. It’s one of the many reasons many long term Californians are leaving the state.
The homeless problem in California is the responsibility of the whole country, since homeless people from all over the country flock to California. They go there because California is one of the few states that makes an honest effort to help the homeless. But when so many homeless from all over the country come to California, even California's robust social service system becomes overwhelmed. Other states need to pitch in.

Socialism is a lie, it brings poverty , hunger and death
Put people over profit. Socialism should replace capitalism.
