Why is there a high correlation between transsexuals and suicide rates?

It is hard to find an accurate source about the reasoning behind why a certain group of people become suicidal, though NCBI and BMC studies suggest that trans-related violence and child abuse have a lot to do with transgender suicides. It is also important to consider that people with any sort of mental condition (gender dysphoria in this instance) are automatically at a greater risk of committing suicide. Most genuine sources theorize that the trans-suicides are a result of a mixture of gender dysphoria-related depression and domestic violence. It is also noted that the majority of these suicides occur within those living in more religiously conservative or lower GDP countries; this could explain a lower standard of living for those transitioning.

C. FYI--there is no actual known rate of suicide for trans people. It's a myth.
