Instead of using oil from Canada through keystone pipeline, what if we reverse trump’s executive orders on offshore oil drilling?

    The oil will still come from Canada, we just have to move it by rail or truck it here.

    There is no oil shortage.

    "In 2019, the United States exported about 8.47 MMb/d (MMb/d= "million barrels per day") of petroleum to about 190 countries and 4 U.S. territories. Crude oil exports of about 2.98 MMb/d accounted for 35% of total U.S. gross petroleum exports in 2019."

    The point is that there is no reason at present to further the trashing of the North American environment so the oil companies can profit more from sending millions of barrels of oil overseas daily. They're not going to lower gas prices in the U.S. on that basis, i.e., that they've got even more millions of barrels to sell outside of the country.
