Why teenagers always get pimples?
- NatashaLv 71 month ago
Not all teenagers always get pimples. There are a lucky few who don't get acne, plus it's common for adults to get acne as well. I'm an adult but am still prone to the odd one here and there.
As for why people get pimples, it's another effect of the hormones which trigger the body changes during puberty, such as those which cause the menstrual cycle to begin, the testes and penis to grow bigger, and genital/pubic hair to grow. It also causes the body to produce more oil in the skin, and as the oil mixes with shed dead skin cells, it blocks the pores, allowing bacteria to grow, and this causes inflammation, making spots form.
An old wive's tale is that eating chocolate and greasy foods causes acne, although there's no evidence to prove it, as acne is mostly down to genetics. In other words, people are more likely to have it if one or both of their parents had acne, or if they hae other relatives who have it, like cousins and siblings.
However, eating a healthy diet promotes good skin.
Hope this helps.

...because of bad diet. If teenager would eat clean food, they do not develop pimpels. No wonder, if nobody knows how to cook today.

Hormones. Their body chemistry goes through some wild changes, and that results in stuff like pimples
