Would it be better to spend money on improving our people's quality of life instead of giving it to places that will always be undeveloped?
Giving billions of pounds a year to African countries is little different to throwing money down a drain. None of them will ever be developed as scientific research has shown that to build a developed country, the people need to have an average IQ of at least 90, whereas the average IQ of sub-Saharan Africans is just 68 (compared to 100 plus for White people). Besides, most of the money is not spent on what it's intended for and is stolen by corrupt leaders. Surely those billions could be used to improve infrastructure, healthcare, policing etc here in the UK?

Well there’s a lot of truth in the saying that foreign aid is taking from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries.
Most third works countries are either dictatorships or run by corrupt governments. Too much is siphoned off for grandiose projects while too many people do not have basic sanitation or health care.
Charities then try and bridge the gap begging money from the same people whose taxes have already provided aid.

Fifty years ago more than half of the people on this planet lived in poverty. Today the figure is less than ten percent. Obviously things are getting better for people in general.
What are you doing to help? Are you volunteering at homeless shelters or soup kitchens? Have you volunteered your time to tutor speakers of English as a second language in your community? Do you do anything beyond the bare minimum?
What makes someone like you superior to a person living in the developing world? Do you know how to grow a garden or fix something that's broken? Have you ever served your country?
It's easy to go anonymous and spew risible ethnocentric nonsense and suggest that public funds ought to be used differently, but if you really and truly cared you'd be doing something other than whinging. Guaranteed there are plenty of people who find you worthless. My guess is you don't like yourself much either. That's why you're too much of a coward to show us who you are.
People like you are all alike. You have an innate need to be seen as being superior because deep down you know you're a nobody who's accomplished nothing in life and never will. All this ridiculous idiocy about intelligence and it's highly unlikely that on any intelligence scale worth measuring you'd come in as being anything other than far below average.
Consider yourself fortunate that you won the birth lottery because you'd have a Hell of a time living in any society where individuals have to strive for any degree of comfort, never mind success.
One thing is for sure: If you were somehow able to summon the stones to say this to someone who were to take personal offence to it, you'd get your noggin split open.
Have a great day, anonymous. You're obviously a real tough guy.

It's always good to be on the same page in order to avoid constant misunderstandings.
In order to understand your position properly, I think it would be beneficial to know about this scientific research you are talking about.Could you please post links to these scientific articles so that we can have a look? That would be very kind of you.

A bit of educational improvement in the UK may benefit the people who ask questions here that are not about books.

No, proper scientific investigation produced a much higher figure - probably equivalent to that of three Yahoo trolls.

child you have no idea how capitalism works
right wing governments use taxpayers money to subsidise and oil the wheels of capitalism in order to win lucrative contracts and help dictators to launder $billions of dirty money, through dodgy property deals
