Although there's no proof, there's ample evidence.  Nor is there any proof that life isn't a dream or everyone else isn't a robot, or proof that exploding petrol can push pistons down in a car engine, or that chemical energy becomes electrical energy in a battery, or that metals conduct electricity, or that antibiotics kill bacteria or asphalt solidifies into a usable road surface after a while, or that eating is essential to human life.
