Police stop and search powers "should be suspended". Will the UK see a rise in the number of stabbings if that happens?
Apparently, stop and search is "racist".

It shouldn't be suspended, even with it violent crime is too high so removing it is hardly going to help.
Unfortunately some who are stopped and searched will be innocent but if the police knew who was carrying they would just arrest them but they don't so stop and search is the only way to find out.
We also need more officers to carry out these tasks and crucially a 8 year minimum sentence for anyone carrying for the first time, 15 years for repeat offenders and life for anyone caught 3 times.

The human rights group Justice, wants Section 60s suspended, they are not thinking of the deterrent that stop and search gives.

Ridiculous idea crime will go through the roof. PC Brigade at it again no doubt.

Stop and Search might be suspended in name, but the practice of challenging undesirable folk will continue.
Prejudice is inherent.
