Where can Americans go?

I was wondering if Americans are able to apply for permanent residency in Canada or England.

If Americans have a Canadian or UK immediate relative that relative could apply to sponsor their permanent residency. But otherwise you'd have to start with a work visa meaning you'd have to have the skills to qualify for that work visa. The bar for a US citizen to work in Canada is far lower than the same for the UK. So look up the TN Occupations List and see if you have mastery of one of the job categories there. Of course the CIC isn't processing immigration visas right now and no one knows when that might start up again. But that's how you'd do it.

Just walk in. No walls or fences. Citizenship, healthcare and education are free and automatic.

HERE IS THE BEST SOLUTION TO OUR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROBLEM:

    1.  $10,000 FINE TO EMPLOYER FOR ANY ILLEGAL ALIEN WORKING FOR THEM, DOUBLING THE FINE EACH TIME THEY ARE GOT

    2.  MAKE ILLEGALS INELIGIBLE FOR ANY GOVERNMENT BENEFITS

    3.  ONE YEAR OF HARD LABOR FOR THE FIRST TIME CAUGHT ILLEGALLY IN THIS COUNTRY

    4.  5 YEARS HARD LABOR SECOND TIME CAUGHT ILLEGALLY IN THIS COUNTRY

    5.  THIRD TIME WE WILL JUST SHOOT YOU THAT WAY WE KNOW YOU WON'T BECOMING BACK THE FORTH TIME

There is no where on the planet where you can "just move there".

Sure. A number of them do this.

They can go to either place IF they meet the requirements, apply, and are successfully accepted.

E.g., to immigrate in to Canada, while there are several plans, for the most common one you would need a skill, or profession that is in demand in Canada.  If you do not have that, acceptance is very problematic.  I understand the UK has similar requirments.

Americans can go anywhere they can successfully qualify for a visa. There are no free passes anywhere.

Anywhere IF they fit the criteria to migrate ....... so high level degree in a STEM, high level of work experience, a job offer from an employer who is registered and prepared to sponsor the visa

There is nothing special about being American. They can apply like anyone else and get rejected

They have to qualify for such a status. Depends on their qualifications and or investment capital. We cannot just apply to live there. Visitations, however, does not require a visa; you must nonetheless be free from criminal records [some minor convictions are not a bar, so long as you disclose it on entry]. However, I do not know any American who wants to leave USA and go live in Canada or England.
