What does a score of 3 out 5 mean in a psychopath test?

    It's the same as this.

    It's nonsense.

The person who said it's a junk test is right, but I'll point out that this is a spectrum disorder, like autism. There are people with mildly psychopathic tendencies who are productive members of society. Cool in a crisis, they sometimes make good surgeons. However, they are not team players, and this is a serious drawback in many cases. The military doesn't like them for this reason.

Since the DSM test for psychopathy isn't out of five, it means the test taken is some junk test that's unreliable and meaningless in diagnosing psychopathy, much less where on the psychopathy spectrum the test taker actually falls if psychopathic.

By the way, to even be on the psychopathy spectrum, one must have an IQ of below 80, meaning actual psychopaths almost always can't read. If a patient is able to read, the patient generally has an IQ of 80 or above, which diagnostically puts the patient outside the range of psychopathy and into the range of sociopathy, so the administered test wouldn't be a "psychopath test" but a "sociopath test," an entirely different test that is geared to anticipate the patient being able to guess the purpose of questions and trying to deceive the test, both of which patients who are psychopaths are mentally incapable of.
