American Hockey League?

In AHL hockey, do the players get to have a full career in the American Hockey League as the players do in the National Hockey League?

The goal of every AHL player is to NOT make a career of being an AHL player. They want to be NHL players.  Some do make good careers of playing in the AHL. A few bounce back and forth between the two leagues and between multiple organizations. Many are only in the league a few years with no advancement and they go do something else to make a living.

    No and vice versa.

The NAHL is a feeder league for the NHL. It's the highest minor league. Some players never make it further than the NAHL and in that sense, it's their full career.
