TO STRIVE FIRST FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD and his righteousness means to turn to him first for help, to fill you thoughts with his desires, to take his character for your pattern, and to serve and obey him in everything. What is really important to you?

Firstly, do you not think that if there was a god or whatever it is that you might believe exists, would allow you to know about him, her, it. What is that thingie hiding from? That is your real question. The reason the NT has such negative wordings, is because the writers were trying to cause a belief in a fictional character. When you are left to guess about an answer in the bible, just consider it nothing more than another tale.
