It could be 20+ years before most trucks are automated. Maybe even longer if there are big wrecks and big money lawsuits.

The automation process still has a long way to go before it'll be an industry standard. They're just barely getting the driving side of trucking automated, and they're still miles behind in the areas of screwing truck stop hookers and yelling racial slurs over a CB radio.
