In English, three. In Spanish, two. Every language has its own number of genders, but I don't know any language that has fewer than two or more than three.

Two - male and female. Anyone claiming to be neither of them will still possess characteristics of a male (masculine) or female (feminine) anyway.

Scientifically, there are only two genders. Anyone that says otherwise is stupid. However, for some, there are different gender identifications, such as non-binary. But at the end of the day, your chromosomes tell you if you are a male or a female.
