Will doctors give you antibiotics without having an infection?
This guy said he got tested and was clean but they still gave him antibiotics...that doesn’t even sound right or am I tripping?

He may have tested too early after being exposed, or he may not have symptoms but could have it and or received a false negative test. Some times doctors give out medication as a precaution, even there's no issues going on. If he does start showing symptoms then he should take the medication.
If the guy doesn't have any thing he shouldn't be taking the antibiotics.
