Why did Hitler think Slavic people were lesser whites?

Is it because they were communist?

It was propaganda, the truth is that he wanted the "living space" in the East because in his plans the German citizens had to become 200 million in some decades and therefore they needed new lands to live, but still under the German state.

Because he saw Slavs as a threat. He grew up in Austria-Hungary and witnessed the struggle for hegemony between Germanics and Slavs in that empire. At that time, there was a Slavic identity movement known as pan-slavicism that tried to undermine German leadership of the Austria-Hungary empire. For this reason, Hitler believed that one country couldn't house different tribes of people. He particularly hated Russia because Russia was the one funding and encouraging the anti-German pan-slavicism movement in an attempt to weaken the west. In Hitler's mind, ethnic Germans were under attack and being deprived their role to rule countries they established. He set out to germanize conquered land and needed to justify killing off non-Germans.

It’s because he believed the Slavs mixed with Mongols. They were mixed and therefore inferior. He writes in Mein Kampf.

Hitler (along with most European peoples in the first half of the 20th century) was all about "race".  They used to talk about "the Irish race", "the German race", and so on and on.  To them, all the world was populated by hundreds of "races", each of which had a characteristic appearance and characteristic strengths and weaknesses.  Everybody felt they could rank-order all the "races" from best to worst.  Hitler's propaganda explained that the Slavs were a different, inferior "race", and they happened to be sitting on land that the superior German race needed.

Politics didn't enter into this relative ranking of Slavs beneath Germans.  It was supposedly a matter of the inherent characteristics of the two "races".

I guess because Slavs were in Germany's Lebensraum or something stupid like that.
