    There isn't any recipe for it.  It depends on how good (and conscientious) a workman is, and how good a wall you want.  A poor worker will "build" two or three times as fast as a good one, but the wall will not be terribly good.  Get some recommendations from someone who has had work done.  And see some examples of the finished work.

    what i think your asking is ..how many bricks can a bricklayer lay in a day ...the days of a thousand a day are long gone ....here in the uk it cost close to £1 a brick to lay ..average bricky`s wages are circa £180-£200 a day ..plus labourer ..sand and cement ....your half brick wall is our single skin wall ..it needs pillars every 6 ft ..unless like our we build a block wall behind and join them with tie wires ..with 4" insulation between

    Usually they work in gangs (2:1) with one fetching and carrying stuff - they can do in excess of a thousand bricks a day - more if it is not face work - the limiting factor comes as to how high they can build before they exceed the bearing capacity of the green mortar bed.
