What breed of dog is this?

Just adopted this sweet boy. Was told he was a mixed breed.

Update:

I was thinking a maltese-shih tzu mix. He has the cutest underbite that you can’t really see in the picture. BTW, he’s a senior dog. His body is shaved because he recently had surgery.

It looks like a shih tzu i dont think its mixed they usually have long hair old owner prob used to get hair cuts for its fur
