If you want to steam your vegetables, the microwave is cheaper, easier, and faster. If you want to saute or roast your vegetables, you need to use the stove top or oven. All produce inexpensive, good tasting vegetables if you cook them right.

I prefer going for taste rather than how inexpensive it is to cook something.

If I am making a meal the stove top is usually on or the oven is.  So it goes that Roasting veggies or putting them in a pan on the stove top will give me better results.

Cheaper? No difference there. But in tastes and texture? Stove top.

    The microwave.  By far!

The microwave uses less power than the stove per minute!  AND is on for fewer minutes!
