Warm Prune juice to about body temperature.
There is a tea called Smooth Move
Many of the "cleanse" products contain Papaya and Pineapple. Make a puree of the two of those and eat/drink that. (great for a Smoothie)
The "bomb" a concoction that was suggested by a Hospice worker. 1/4 Cup Prune Juice, 1/4 cup Milk of Magnesia and 1/4 Cup of Orange Juice. Heat that a bit, body temperature. This will work in about 1 hour.
Magnesium citrate (about $0.99 at Walmart) Works in about 1 hour
There are suppositories that will also work well,
the goal though is not to have to use a laxatives, they should be used only if necessary.
Try a Fiber Supplement daily something like Metamucil or Benifiber are 2 brands and are in a variety of ways from a powder to capsules and wafers

Picolax is a wonderful laxative.
It will 'clear you out' within minutes of taking it.
However ..
I'd stick to prunes .. or prune juice.

Cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges. "Medicines" will get you dependent on them.
