Having too much potassium in your blood can be dangerous. Potassium affects the way your heart's muscles work. When you have too much potassium, your heart may beat irregularly, which in the worst cases, can cause heart attack.

two molecules are used in muscle contraction and relaxation

    Calcium for contraction

    Potassium for relaxation

that's why when you get muscle cramps in the legs ,it's usually because of low potassium levels.

However, if you bombard your system with too much potassium, your muscles cannot contract.

And most importantly, your heart is a muscle.

    Interesting fact about lethal injections:

Conventional lethal injection protocol. Typically, three drugs are used in lethal injection. Pancuronium bromide (Pavulon) is used to cause muscle paralysis and respiratory arrest, POTASSIUM chloride to stop the heart, and midazolam for sedation.

Look at the source below (or any other web site that is found in a web search on "hyperkalemia") and pay attention to the paragraph about symptoms.

[This is not really a question about chemistry.  You'd likely get better answers by moving it to Medicine.]
