Known as the Primordial Soup Theory, it states that life began in a warm pond or ocean from a combination of chemicals and some form of energy. This led to the creation of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Proteins are essential parts of organisms and participate in virtually every process within cells.
This is supposed to have happened at least 3.8 billion to 3.55 billion years ago.

The earliest known life-forms are putative fossilized microorganisms, found in hydrothermal vent precipitates, that may have lived as early as 4.28 Gya (billion years ago), relatively soon after the oceans formed 4.41 Gya, and not long after the formation of the Earth 4.54 Gya.Source(s): https://vapehousedubai.com/

The simple answer is that we don't know. Yet. Humans don't tend to like the simple answer though so we like to make up all kinds of weird and fanciful stories about it.

lightning hit mud and RNA was formed , 2 billion years later it evolved and life crawled out of the primordial sludge bucket .

We don't know ALL of the details because there are several possibilities. But the general gist is that you had alot of water and chemicals suspended in that water. This meant the chemicals could float around and encounter each other. Some chemicals naturally react well together, forming complex and regular chains. Thus was formed the early organic chemistry molecules.
These molecules tended to build longer and longer chains in more and more complex structures. Now, if everything were purely random, you'd get no particular prevalence of specific types, but any structure that is naturally better at self-replicating will tend to proliferate. So molecules that attract more material or move around better tend to get bigger and more plentiful.
Eventually, one theory goes, RNA happened. And from there it's a relatively straight path to the creation of the simplest life. And evolution starts to take over. Again, the forms that are the best at spreading themselves and propagating to the next generation will proliferate.

You're not asking for an answer to the controversial unknown, are you?
