Why are boys and girl school sports teams still a thing?

Why not just 1 coed team?

You can have one team, but you'll have to change some sports to even them out, or include handicaps. Probably better to invent new sports that guarantee girls and boys will have equal chances of winning.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

If it's simply about participation/group dynamics co-ed rocks.

But if it's about the individual and competition then sports gets separated by gender.

It's done for physical reasons mainly.

Because men and boys are physically stronger than girls and women and there's no competition in sports. Is this a troll? Do the children of today not actually know this? Right, thanks "liberal feminists" for destroying women's sports. There will be no female athletes in the future thanks to you.

On it's way out now that boys are allowed to compete in girls sports.

Because if there is just one coed team, few girls will make it. That means fewer athletic opportunities for girls. Fewer scholarships. Less everything in terms of athletics.
