Is it true that Texas reopened to save the businesses and not because it's safe? It's all about the profits?

The timing couldn't be worse. In areas of Texas where the Wall hasn't been built illegals are invading in large numbers. The Biden Administration is checking illegal immigrants for COVID-19, finding 6.3% of them test POSITIVE, and still put them on buses, then ship them North. Where they get released is not being announced.
Opening Texas is being done to Save business and Students whose lives and livelihoods are being destroyed by irrational actions taken by Leftist Democrat Politicians who refuse to follow the Science!

Well, I suppose that stupid and selfish idiots might see it that way.
But a lot of people consider that the businesses they built and which provide them livelihoods and do things like pay for rent, food and medicine are important parts of their lives.
And while Democrats look at their voters and think, "They're too dumb to do a risk assessment and act in their own best interests," that is not how Republicans look at people.
We TRUST people (well, maybe not Democrat voters) to be intelligent enough to assess the risks and take whatever protective measures they choose to take.
And, they do have a right to earn a living.

Only idiots still fail to realize that you can open AND be safe if it's done right. Abbott is an idiot.

I'm sure there's an element of profits involved. Besides, what's the point of living, if we all have to live in poverty and on welfare.

Who cares. Just avoid Texas and you'll be fine. They can't afford a shutdown with their recent fiasco. They will go bankrupt and have much bigger problems.
