How would having low secretion of GnRh from the hypothalamus would affect the female menstrual cycle?
- GirlLv 51 month ago
Gonadotropin releasing hormone is responsible for triggering release of Luteinising hormone and follicle stimulating hormone - therefore if there is low secretion of lutenising hormone (it means there will not be ovulation as this will peak to trigger ovulation if it is to further mature, alongside the further development of the Graafian follicle via the follicle stimulating hormone before release of an egg from one follicle at ovulation). This means with low GnRh thus lower levels of FSH being released means ovaries are not releasing eggs.
