Turbo Diesel - Partially burnt diesel white smoke. Help!?
Have asked this once or twice, with varied responses. As I cannot reply to people I thought I'd make a short video of the problem.
Seems like a cylinder is not combusting properly until the engine heats up.
All 4 injectors are newly refurbished.Tested all 4 glowplugs Ohm resistance (<1.6 Ohm) and 12second glow
Smells like diesel smoke - after it warms up there will be no more smoke, likely until the next morning. - It is NOT Oil or Coolant.
This is a cold start on a very hot day, so it warmed up significantly faster than usual.
Any advice is very much appreciated!

check for the egr cooler leaking. the intake will be filthy is a sure sign. Disconnect it from the cooling system and see it the smoke stops? when its only smoking like that Ive never been able to prove it by pressurising the cooling system itll hold enough pressure to think its all right with an old warren & brown cooling system pressure tester

i have seen video ..ONLY water makes white smoke ...guess ? failed head gasket on one cylinder ..or even a cracked head ..water getting into cylinder via a valve

If there is no white smoke when engine is warm, it is a glow plug problem.
Charge battery. Check glow plug fuse or just replace it. Check glow plug relay if there is one. When engine is cold with key ON, check power and ground at all the glow plug connectors with a 12V test light. One or two glow plugs is/are likely not getting powered. Good luck.
