Their monarchy is inherently more stable as a constitutional monarchy. It's democratic traditions like the Magna Carta that have made the difference over hundreds of years and steered the country back from absolute monarchy and dictatorship.

They were more willing to devolve into a ceremonial role.  Absolute monarchy leaves no room for democracy.

    They didn't.

The British Monarchy hasn't ruled the country in centuries.  The UK is only a  monarchy in the same way that Pro-wrestling is a sport.

After the Civil War the monarchy was redefined as a constitutional monarch as opposed to an absolute one and became answerable to Parliament. This means we now have an non-elected, figure head, head of state which is great. It means we can never have a H of S that is a Thatcher or Blair - or Trump.

Under the terms of the Magna Carta, authority and wealth were shared across a broader noble class than in absolutist France.  Germany, meanwhile, was largely a collection of smaller states each with their own system of rule.  Their "Holy Roman Emperors" and the Kaiser later served more as "CEOs" of governing boards than a divine-right monarch.

Populist revolution succeeded in France because the wealth was concentrated in a class too small to defend itself.  Republicanism took hold in Germany because, by nature, the Germans were staunchly democratic folk.  In England, too many people across the class spectrum had too much to lose if the monarchy was toppled.
