When plotting the reciprocal of the concentration vs time in seconds of a reaction

A --> B, a linear relationship is seen. The slope of this line is +3.4, and the y-intercept is 0.132.

What is the half life for this reaction in seconds?

    Because 1/[A] vs time was linear, the reaction is a second order reaction. The inverse of the y-intercept (7.58 M) is the initial concentration of the reactant. The slope of the plot is the rate constant for the reaction, k = 3.4 M^-1 s^-1. 

    The half-life for a second order reaction is calculated as:t1/2 = 1/k[A]o

    t1/2 = 1/(3.4)(7.58) = 0.0388 s
