Label the compounds in the reaction as ACID, BASE, CONJUGATE ACID, CONJUGATE BASE.  ?

1. CH3OH + HNO2 ⇌CH3OH2 + NO2

2. NH3 + CH3OH ⇌ NH4+ +CH3O-

3. H3PO4 + H20 ⇌ H3O+ H2PO4-

4. Al(H20)63+ +H2O ⇌ H3O+ + AlOH(H20)52+

The acid always loses an H+ by transfer to the base. What is left of the acidic compound is the conjugate base on the right side of the equation, and the conjugate acid is the protonated form of the base.

So, showing you one of these:

    5. HC2H3O2 + H20 ⇌ H3O+ + C2H3O2-

    ...acid...........base...conjugate acid....conjugate base

You should be able to do the rest of them.
