No, the?western U.S. is NOT all desert and it is NOT all sparsely populated. Greater Oklahoma City includes 5 to 20 counties and has one of the largest areas in the U.S outside of of of the northeast and southwest coast's. . Oklahoma has three mountain ranges, 3 Air Force.bases and at least 6 metropolitan areas I'm using Oklahoma City and Tulsa; Ardmore. Pounce Cuty, Enid (AFB)
, Woodward, Lawton closed to Firt Sill, Army base, and Altus (AFB). The Oklahoma panhandle is semi arid, but it is NOT what I could call a?desert like Arizona with Phoenix and Tucson. . Denver and Corado Springs are large metropolitan areas. . The northwest coast had a temperate rain forest in Washington state and Oregon. It is NOT a desert.
